Description

Home is in the water.
Home is in the water.
Home is in the water.
Where I’m in the water,
Ever in the water,
If there’s magic in the water,
If there’s magic in the water?

Just a little light flickering
Out on the horizon.
Just a little light there…
What do I?

Should I’ve known?
I should’ve known that.
They’ll be coming right back
Through the ripples of black.

Just a little light flickering
Out on the horizon.
Just a little light there…
What am I?

Your face,
Your phasing.
Swollen zodiac
In the ripples of black.

If there’s magic in the water,
If there’s magic in the water,
I have found you.

[ Zodiac Black – Goldfrapp ]

I had this image in mind ever since I first listened to this song by Goldfrapp; all I needed to do was to go back to Alghero, where I’d find my mother’s assistance and a nice spot with shallow sea, and wait for a cloudy day that would give the perfect light.
In case you’re wondering how I turned the water black, I laid my usual black background sheet on the sea floor, weighted it down with stones, fanned the sand away and proceeded with extra care not to drift off it while posing. Also, I was lucky enough to have the faintest rain falling, which gave some nice circles in the water.
The halo was drawn with my graphic tablet in a pecil-like brush and, once again, is my own birth chart, like on Arcadia. The fact that my index fingers are pointing at Lilith in Libra and Neptune in Capricorn was a lucky accident, as I could not predict that that before hitting postproduction, but that adds a further personal layer to the image.
