Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you Salomé, a mini-series inspired by Oscar Wilde's play on which I worked together with Briar Rose and the amazing photographer Cunene. An interesting fact about this work is that not only I only it's my first studio experience (I mean, in a proper studio, not just some random place with my black background-fabric hanged somewhere), but it's also the first time Briar Rose and I modelled together (and since we've been knowing each other for four years now, I'd say it was about time!). The idea for this series was Briar Rose's, who plays Salomé, and since it's based on Wilde's work, I gladly took part in it posing as John the Baptist. More photos are to come in the next days, so stay tuned: there will also be something quite unexpected. I will eventually write an entry on my blog too.
I can see "DO NOT WANT" written all over John The Baptist....while Salome, in her teasing, seductive ways, seems determined to find a chink in his armour....Oh John, don't you realize rejection is a powerful aphrodisiac for some?
