Description

Theodor Bastard ]

Fifth photos from my and BriarRose’s Белое (Beloe, “white”) project, about which you can read on my blog. This one is another special song to me, as I have found myself in the situation described in the title. I immediately spotted the thorny bush and wanted to use it for the corresponding photo, but upon looking at it more carefully, I found those pentacle-shaped branches and decided I had to absolutely use them.

[ Learn To Love This Pain (World) ]

“Drawn world,
I don’t believe in your eyes.
Then there were too many
And now they aren’t needed anymore.
Never let it go.

Learn to love this pain.
Believe me, a calm place.

Cover me, it’s cold.
Cover me, it’s cold.”

Wow, I am compelled to ponder if the fortuitous natural framing in just such a thematic geometry is mere coincidence in an instance so vividly portrayed. The way the mysterious cloaked wayfarer communes so perfectly with symbolic shape formed of natural thorny branches makes the entire setting seem to be made as if by order, ahhh, but just who might have submitted the request ..... that a pious paper by might offer up her prayers in so powerfully symbolic a sanctuary -- unmanufactured by the hand of man.
