Obsession II

Description

Second shot from the Obsession series: now we’re getting more into the story.
As the idea was basically building itself right while we were shooting, the title came around the time we took this particular photo: Obsession, the title of the spring/summer issue of Vogue Hommes International, was simply the perfect fit for our idea - not just a simple wank, but an experience involving a mixture of self-acceptance and sense of inadequacy, admiration and envy for the model on the magazine (who’s Sean O’Pry) who’s seen both as an unreachable lover and ideal about the self, not forgetting the artistic side deriving from the fashion photographs as opposed to simple pornography which highlights the erotic power of art, subtler but even more irresistible. That’s what really fascinated me about the whole idea, the merging of art, inspiration and eros. Briar Rose once again confirmed my theory about women being the best erotic photographers of all, as they have the right perspective about the matter caring for both sides of the matter.

Amazing. Simply amazing. I adore black and white for starters. It's stark, bold and I feel ephisizes a more gritty side of emotion that color tends to soften. Your expression is very emotive, andI'm definitely getting a sense if rapture for the model you're looking at. I think what is the most striking however, is how the picture suggests you're erm... 'enjoying yourself' without showing a thing or being pornographic. The suggestion is more erotic than actually seeing anything. I think a lot of artists could really take a note from this. Both of these are so good I would actually have them framed and hung in my home. Extremely tastefully done. All in all a very powerful photo. I am looking forward to seeing more.
