So, Nightwish again, huh? (While wearing Evanescence merchandising, too). Though in fairness, gotta admit I genuinely like this song, musically and even lyrically. And dear goodness, Tarja is even able to emote while she sings it!

Three things concurred into forming this concept:

1) The place immediately reminded me of the song. It’s the freaking Gulf of Finland, after all.

2) Everything fit the mood: the wind, the gentle waves, the sudden turn of the weather (it went from sunny to that cloudy and back to sunny less than fifteen minutes later)… The photo was begging to be taken.

3) I kinda felt something. I can’t describe it, but it was much different from what I feel by the see in Alghero. Maybe it was because the sea is different there, with the trees growing on the shore and the plants caressed by the waves… but I felt like a real connection with the sea, like something deeper (for lack of better words) was there. I’ve always been a sea-loving person, all my life, but that felt new and powerful.
All of this led to these photos, and I’d really like to thank my mother, who managed to capture exactly what I felt.
