Oh my Goth. I started this photomanip back in August 2009 and I finished it only now. Shame. On. Me. It's very, very gothic and perhaps also clichéed, but I don't really care.
The inspiration for this work came in my period of greatest Draconian addiction, last July, after seeing the statue stock (which I found browsing resources for another photomanip). I was stuck by the sort of homoerotic passion of that statue and started thinking about using it for some manip of mine involving a loving worship of Death, perhaps kissing the scythe. Well, the idea went along perfectly with that Draconian song, and there I went.
The most difficult part at the beginning was finding a background. I really couldn't find any, so I eventually did it myself when I found a perfect wall in the Cologne Cathedral while I was in Germany (and that photo was a pain to take, due to stupid tourists walking around and the lack of a tripod). Then I did the whole background + Death, and I only needed the model. I had decided I'd model myself, but never had the occasion to take the goddamn stock photo, which I eventually did during the last Easter holidays, courtesy of my mother. This is the main reason why it took me eight months to finish this work.
Oh, and before you start worrying, no, I do not have suicidal intentions, it's just for artistic purposes.
