This work is inspired by Florence’s album in general, with its beautiful Art Deco aesthetics, mesmerising, at time mysthical melodies, and solemn lyrics.
You might remember Cunene from our collaboration with BriarRose9 on the Salomé miniseries: she took and postproduced the photos back then, while I modelled with BriarRose, who had the idea in the first place. This time, I had Cunene modelling for me because I instantly fell in love with her outfit at the Picnic. I love Art Nouveau and Deco, so I just had to shoot her, really. Both the dress and the kokoshnik (the Russian head-dress) were handmade and decorated by her, so she deserves all the praise.
